Introducing the WYO + Planeteer Alliance Earth Month Heartivism Challenge, a creative endeavor merging art, music, and environmental activism, or HEARTIVISM! This challenge invites Planeteers to channel their artistic talents into designing cover art and merchandise for one of the band's singles, Ignore the Map, echoing the harmonious spirit of Earth Month combined with the impactful activism of Planeteers. 

Submissions

Submission Rules & Guidelines: 

  • In order to submit an entry, you MUST already have an account on Planeteer HQ (Please note: Members of HQ must be between 10-23 years of age.)
  • Only VISUAL art submissions will be accepted for this Artivism submission. 
  • If possible, please submit artowrk on a SQUARE canvas.
  • Contestants may only submit ONE piece to be considered. Multiple submissions will be disqualified.
  • Artwork must be submitted by April 22, 2024
  • Artwork will NOT be accepted if it contains:
    • Inappropriate language/imagery
    • Discriminatory or harmful language/imagery

Voting Rules & Guidelines: 

  • Voting runs from April 23 to April 29 at 11:59pm EDT
  • An individual can vote for three submissions total

What

Throughout April, Planeteers are invited to unleash their creativity to craft visually captivating representations that capture the essence of this forthcoming single. From vibrant illustrations to captivating photography, Planeteers should combine their passion for the planet with their artistic capabilities to advocate for the Earth in a new and creative way. 

Dates

All work must be submitted by 04/22. The public will have the opportunity to cast their votes for their top three favorite pieces from 04/23-29. Then, the band members themselves will select their personal favorite from the pool of submissions and announce their winner on 05/01.

Collaboration

A portion of the proceeds from the sales of the specially curated merchandise will be channeled back to the Captain Planet Foundation, furthering the mission of empowering young people to become problem solvers for the planet. This challenge not only fosters artistic expression, but also becomes a catalyst for investing in youth action.
